Dear Homeowner and Insurance professional,
We have put together this document to try and answer any potential questions you may have about our billing package. Dreyer’s DKI follows best practices as found in the IICRC’s (Institute for Inspection Cleaning Restoration Certification) S500. www.IICRC.org Our goal is to give our clients a safe healthy home after their disaster, and we do that by closely following the practices found in our industry’s certifying organization. We have included a few links that you can follow that will explain the reason why we have installed certain pieces of equipment in your home or followed certain procedures.
If you’re wondering why we placed so much drying equipment in your home? Click here to read about the IICRC’s recommendations on drying equipment.
Why did we place a machine in your house to filter your air (AFD)? Click here to read what the IICRC says and here for what the industry, in general, says about clean air during a water damage or fire job.
We have found that the insurance-allowed labor rate for this type of work has not kept up with the ever-increasing costs of doing business. We have been forced to establish our own labor prices. I have included a link here so you can view our labor calculator that we used to determine our labor prices for our billing package. I have also included a link here for guidance from xactimate.
I’m sure that as a customer you can appreciate that we would hire supervisors to ensure your job runs smoothly. See this industry article about supervisory hours:
Please see this IICRC guidance on why we charge for decontaminating our equipment after each use.
Please see this article regarding IICRC guidance on why we charge for HEPA Vacuums.
